Software Engineer

Divvy is a startup located at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi, UT looking to disrupt the financial technology industry. We’re on a mission to automate the spending and expense reporting process, enabling companies and individuals to have more control, greater convenience, and increased security when distributing funds. With our product, keeping receipts, asking for reimbursement, and spending wastefully are things of the past. Our web and mobile applications enable our users to take proactive control of their money.

 

What You’ll Be Doing
As a software engineer at Divvy Pay you will be collaborating with other software engineers, product managers, and UI/UX designers to innovate in and improve on Divvy Pay’s product. You’ll have opportunities to own the technical planning, implementation, and delivery of impactful features. You will be contributing to Divvy’s mobile and web applications built with ReactJS, and to its associated GraphQL API and backend services built in Elixir with a Postgres database.

Qualifications

  • A few years of professional experience working on a software development team
  • Experience developing SaaS applications in the cloud
  • Experience completing and “shipping” finished products and features
  • Experience with functional programming languages/paradigms
  • Proficient with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and a server-side language/framework
  • Preferred: experience with Elixir (including Ecto, Phoenix, etc.)
  • Preferred: experience with ReactJS
  • Versed in sound quality assurance principles 

Software Engineer in Test

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Software Engineer in Test at Divvy Pay you will be collaborating with the Product team to solidify and validate feature requirements, working with the Engineering team to create and evangelize quality assurance practices, and writing automated tests in JavaScript with tools like Selenium. You’ll regularly write and complete manual tests to verify new features and detect regressions in old code. You’ll be the leader in ensuring that our products are of the utmost quality.

Being a software engineer in test at Divvy means that you need to have a QA and customer-focused mentality, not just the ability to click buttons and write test scripts. Qualifications

  • A few years of professional experience working on a software development team
  • Experience designing, implementing, and running automated tests in JavaScript with a WebDriver-based framework
  • Experience testing web applications, mobile applications, and APIs
  • Experience documenting and completing manual tests
  • Experience writing release criteria and associated test plans
  • Experience debugging code and application logs
  • Competent with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and a UI automated test framework
  • Versed in sound quality assurance principles 

Office Manager

What We’re Looking For
We want someone to to support day-to-day operations at Divvy and present a professional face to any incoming clients, employees, and visitors. As such, we are looking for someone with a set of skills that involves self-direction, multi-tasking, and attention to detail.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assist with the coordination of onboarding new hires
  • Assist with the coordination of in-office interviews
  • Assist in managing office budgets
  • Actively contributing to the success of individual projects and the company

Qualifications

  • Experience as an executive assistant
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Exhibit exceptional organizational & problem-solving skills
  • Effectively oversee project timelines and interact with clients
  • Are self-motivated and disciplined in your work habits
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Don’t mind working during occasional “off” hours to communicate with employees
