A single solution for expenses
As a premium pest control company that spans 15 branches across the United States, Hawx Services uses Divvy to streamline their expense management—no matter how fast their company grows.
Jordon Thompson, CFO at Hawx Services, described his experience at a previous company where he was left with a pile of receipts from multiple debit cards: “Why do I want to sit and look at receipt after receipt only to realize I don’t even have all of the receipts I need? They’re just crumpled up in someone’s pocket and then thrown away.”
When Jordan started at Hawx Services, he was relieved to find that Divvy was already in place. From branch managers purchasing pest control supplies to the AP department using virtual cards to cover monthly utility bills, Divvy was solving day-to-day problems. Jordan explained, “Everybody on the field, including our branch and service managers across the country, is using the Divvy app—and like it.”
One of Jordon’s favorite things about Divvy is its solution for compromised cards:
“I love having the ability to create new cards. At one of my previous companies, if someone’s card was compromised, we would spend hours updating all of the information for vendors. Not with Divvy’s virtual cards. On the accounts payable side, that’s probably the biggest time saver.”
There was never a time at Hawx Services where Jordon wasn’t using Divvy, so he admits it’s hard to estimate the time savings. He notes that reconciliation is much faster now that he doesn’t have to do all of the coding himself—instead, employees code their own transactions and leave notes from the mobile app.
When he thinks of the cost benefits, he points out that something like Expensify would add up since they charge on a per person, per month basis. Divvy, on the other hand, is a free all-in-one solution.
“It’s great having expense reporting all wrapped up into one product,” explains Jordon. “With something like Expensify you have the credit card provider and then have to import all the credit card transactions into the system. Divvy is one system instead of two separate systems that don’t work 100% well together.”
Jordan knows that Divvy has streamlined financial processes at Hawx Services. He concludes, “If you’re looking for something that has expense reporting and credit cards all in one, then Divvy is definitely a good fit.”
