Before building a company and career on big ideas, Blake started with big animals. He graduated from the University of Utah with a B.S. in science, then studied elephants for a year in Africa. Once back in Utah, he became an investor and entrepreneur.
The biggest and best idea he’s invested in so far? His own.
In January 2018, Blake launched the Divvy spend and expense management platform. Divvy gives businesses the power to confidently issue credit cards to employees because every transaction is visible through the platform in real time. Budget owners have total control of who has access to funds—and, best of all, it automates expense reports.
Since Divvy was founded less than two years ago, the company has:
- Raised more than $260 million in venture capital
- Secured $750 million in debt capital
- Established a customer base over 3,000 businesses strong
