At Divvy, we understand that you create budgets and categorize expenses based on the unique needs of your business. That’s why—instead of boxing you in with defaults—we give you a way to make Divvy your own with custom fields.
What are custom fields?
Custom fields in Divvy allow you to capture detailed information about financial transactions for reports, audits, or integrations with your accounting software.
For example, you can create custom fields that:
- Map to your chart of accounts or general ledger (GL) codes.
- Require digital receipts or notes to be included with every transaction.
- Set permissions based on budget, amount, or other requirements.
- Enhance your financial record-keeping by collecting everything from invoices and W-9s to URLs and phone numbers.
The benefits of custom fields
Because one field doesn’t fit all, Divvy lets you create all the custom fields you want to capture the data you need. As an integral part of your financial tech stack, the Divvy platform plays nice with other financial software by mirroring existing data fields.
Matt Hensley, director of finance at Protomet, says custom fields are his favorite Divvy feature: “We don’t have one big budget. We have a lot of cost centers. With custom fields in Divvy, we can track spending our way.”
